There are numerous ways to get in shape - but finding ways that don't make you dread your exercise can be a little more difficult. This is why I've put together my top five fun ways of getting fit without even trying. These are a little creative and different from the norm, but they'll all help you to get your body back in shape.

1. Dancing

Dancing is such fantastic exercise and one of the most fun ways to get in shape. There are many different types of dance class available nowadays, so choose a style that suits your personality. You can even bring a friend and turn it into a fun night out. When you don't have a dance class to go to, simply turn on some upbeat music at home and dance around the room for a little while. You'll probably feel quite puffed out quickly, showing you just how great exercise this is!

2. Get Your Pet Involved

If you have a dog, then you'll need to make sure that they stay in shape as well as you! Take advantage of the extra incentive to exercise and go for long walks or simply play with them for a while in the garden. Your pet will love you for it, and you'll see the results quickly if you keep it up regularly.

Many people are dread the idea of facing the gym regularly, but doing something like sports with your friends can be a lot easier to get your head around. Whatever sport you like, even if you just end up playing catch, it'll get you moving which will, in turn, get you back in shape without you even realizing.

Doing a sponsored walk or run is one of the best ways to earn some money for charity. What better motive do you need to get out there and to start exercising? Whenever you're feeling tired or down about being active, just remember that you're doing it for a fantastic reason.

These days, even playing a computer game can keep you fit! Games such as the Wii Fit are now some of the most popular ways to get in shape. They give you a real workout, but they make it fun, helping to take the pain out of exercising regularly. Not only this, but they're a fraction of the cost of buying a membership to the gym!
