Not a cure all but always make sure you are adequately hydrating your body with water on a daily basis. Limit sugar intake and/or other stimulants before bed. It's hard because coffee ice cream tastes better at night than first thing in the morning too. Darken your room as much as possible and limit the use of different electronic devices well before going to bed. I believe the strength of our conscious and subconscious dependency on these items really can prevent us from giving our sleep the full focus it deserves. PURE Lavender essential oil, once again PURE and from a highly trustworthy and clean company, may also deliver very relaxing and soothing effects without having to go to California or Colorado to achieve such results. Although they may have other organic options for you there as well. Feel better.
