Seabuckthorn with honey can fool you because honey contains a lot of glucose and lowers the effect of vitamin C on the cell because vitamin and glucose have the same receptor to enter the cell.
This is said that when you eat sweets it lowers your immunity.

Lucian, following your idea, does that mean that it is not good to drink lemonade with honey because honey reduces the effects of vitamin C? Are you sure what you say? Indeed, sweets it lowers immunity, but please know that seabuckthorn with honey is a natural treatment that is administered for a short time (5-6 days) to get rid of colds and flu (in general).

Text: In cazul Vitamina C, exista o incompatibilitate de facto cu orice „îndulcitor”: Având o formula chimica apropriata de cea a glucozei, cele doua molecule dispun de acelaşi transportator si de acelaşi receptor pentru a pătrunde in celula, prioritar fiind glucoză.
