I don't think it's about DNA. What would be interesting to know is how long do those who leave the island live. I'm sure some young people leave the island for study or work...
I guess it has to do with life-style, less stress, less pollution.
I agree. You made a valid point here. The scientist looking the DNA route should check those that left and see if they lived that long too.
