RE: illegal To Cure | Why Cancer and Other Diseases Aren't Allowed To Be Cured

in #health7 years ago

Big Pharma doesn't need cured people, it needs patients.
Also, talking to my American friends I've come to the conclusion that it is just an illusion the US spends so much money on healthcare. It seems to me medical services are simply over-priced to create this illusion (and make some people very rich). Someone told me that for a one-day stay in the hospital the bill amounted to $27.000! For a nasty flu!

Yep. It's a scam. A big part of the reason why it's able to perpetuate is due to the fact that we're so disconnected from paying it. Most people don't pay out of pocket. They pay with insurance, medicare, or medicaid, and could care less what the hospital charges. This is yet another example of the government appearing to be trying to help but unintended consequences come along with it. If it were on a free market, that wouldn't happen. Big government is not the answer. It's the problem.

This is true. I have called the hospital and inquired about medical service prices, and also about billing. The first question the financial administrator always asks is: "Insurance, or cash price?" Seems they have a menu of services priced differently depending upon whether or not you pay in cash, out of pocket.
And I have a bill here somewhere that shows 1 single night's stay in "observation" in the E.R.
That bill is over $17,000 USD.
And they literally did nothing except watch me.
