Menstrual Cramps

This combination of points will alleviate most cramping, churning abdominal activity and aches due to this ailment.  Further benefits will be that some of the associated difficulties as irritability, headaches and backaches will also be averted. If not, they can also be relieved by using the healing methods of prior levels.

SP - 6 is Located on the inside of the ankle, approximately one hand width up from the ankle bone. It will be on a branch of the Saphenous Nerve between the Achilles tendon and the Shin Bone (Big Toe side of leg).  With a finger or thumb, rub both points either simultaneously or individually in a circular motion (rub gently) 3 times, then slowly and gently rub down the inside of the shin bone and off the big toe.  Repeat 30 – 60 times on each leg.  This should relax and drain the cramping almost totally.

LI-4 is located on the web of the hand between the thumb and index finger just at the base of the thumb.  With a finger or thumb, rub both points in toward the meta carpel, either simultaneously or individually in a circular motion (rub gently) 3 times, then slowly and gently rub down the inside of index finger and off as in the method before.  Repeat 30 – 60 times on each hand.

This will relax the stomach and alleviate the cramping.

For additional relief in abdominal pain as well as in the water weight gain sometimes associated with this time, you can alleviate this to varying degrees by massaging a point called SP-9

This point is located on the Infrapatellar Branch of the Saphenous Nerve and lateral to the Patella ligament on the lower inside of the knee joint, This point should be massaged in a circular manner 3 revolutions and then rubbed down the inside of the shin bone and off the big toe.  Repeat 30 – 60 times on each leg.
