Washington [US]: New research on postmenopausal girls identifies associations between commonly eaten foods and the diversity and composition of oral bacteria.

Scientists from the University at Buffalo have shown how ingesting certain varieties of meals affects the oral microbiome of postmenopausal girls. They observed that better intake of sugary and excessive glycemic load foods - like doughnuts and different baked items, ordinary gentle drinks, breads and non-fats yogurts - may additionally affect poor oral fitness and, perhaps, systemic health consequences in older women due to the influence these foods have at the oral microbiome.
