Hello my steemit family, welcome to my blog! Like I'll always say; my interest in steemit is solemnly as it concerns women, we stand to advocate for women because both our future and history of could be traced from them.

This is all about the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign that was initiated all over the world, this awesome awareness was introduced to help salvage the high rate of Breast Cancer mayhem in our world.

BRINGING THE FIGHT HOME!

We all were there as it happened at Sunshine Towers Enugu where we witnessed the First National Go Pink Ball on 7th of October 2017 .

This was the first time it happened in such magnificent glory as woman nationwide turned up to see to it that Breast Cancer is finally dealt with through collaborative efforts in campaigning.

It's so sad to know that greater number of our women still don't know about this deadly disease that is busy taking innocent lives of our women.

WHAT IS BREAST CANCER???

In a simple term; Breast Cancer is a type of cancer that is so powerful and destructive in breast tissue. The aim of this writing is not actually targeting on explaining to us about Breast Cancer as everything one might need to know about breast cancer is all over the internet, the aim of this post is to open the eyes of our women on the challenge facing them which can be managed with their cooperation!

Checkup is one of the challenges that we face greatly because our 'it doesn't matter' attitude has cost us so many lives especially women, it's highly expedient that every family must build that culture of running some important tests time to time as to curtail the risk of late disease discovery in our body.

Breast cancer is a deadly disease but yet easy to manage and cure when diagnosed at it's early stage.

BREAST CANCER DEATH RATE IS ALARMING IN NIGERIA!

According to W.H.O, Nigeria is recorded as one of African countries with highest death rate from breast cancer. We should also remember that poverty is one of the significant causes to breast cancer because the average women do not have that capacity to take good care of their fragile lives due to poverty, therefore, Nigeria loses up to 10,000 of her innocent women just in twelve months intervals! What a sad situation.

SAY NO TO BREAST CANCER!

It's our responsibility to encourage ourselves especially women and our ladies, teens are not exceptional in the breast cancer vigilance.

"Hearing the stories of breast cancer survivors at the event last night made me realize we have lots of work to do more than I even thought. My fellow ladies, please continue to examine yourselves and screen as well. There are diagnostic blood tests that pick it early enough. Men you have a role too, check your wives and relatives and encourage them to screen. We all must have someone that has cancer or even died of it; so we are all involved. Meanwhile, prevention is the best.

OUR WOMEN SHOULD EAT GOOD (fruits and veggies)AS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO FIGHT BREAST CANCER

Eat less of processed food and have a good lifestyle. The more colours you have in your meal, the healthier it is. The vegetables and fruits will achieve this and create more of an alkaline environment in the body which isn't friendly for cancer cells. If you are a sedentary worker or have a sedentary lifestyle , ensure you do a minimum of 30 minutes exercise a day. Lastly, drink lots of water, the greatest and cheapest detoxifier God gave us. If you can get minimum of 1.5-2 litres of water or 3-4 sachets of water a day, you would be better of and also saving your kidneys. Contribute to BWS and save the patients if you can. Some can't afford the expensive medications. The ball yesterday was good with Friends"
