Effective Home Remedies To Treat Food Poisoning
1. Garlic
Sucking on a fresh garlic clove and afterwards drinking a glass of warm water, gives quick relief to symptoms such as; abdominal pain and diarrhea. You can also boil some water with garlic cloves and sip on it through the day.
2. Lemon Water
Lemon water helps get rid of bacteria in the stomach. Add a pinch of sugar to a teaspoon of lemon juice to clean your digestive system. You can also squeeze the juice from one whole lemon into a glass of water and drink it during the day.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
Helps sooth inflammation along the gastrointestinal lining. Add 2 tablespoons of ACV to a glass of water and drink for at least 15 minutes before eating.
4. Basil
Provides relief from abdominal discomfort as well as food poisoning. You can boil a handful of fresh basil leaves in about 3cups of water . After the water has boiled, allow it to cool before drinking. You can add honey to it if you wish.
5. Cumin Seeds
Help relieves discomfort and inflammation caused by food poisoning. A handful of cumin seeds can be boiled in a cup of water. Allow it to cool before drinking. You can add a teaspoon of coriander juice or asoefotida and a little salt to this herbal drink. Drink it twice a day to cleanse your system.
