l've got a cold🤒 Japanese people wear mask when they catch cold❗️

Hello my friends!
How are you? l have got a cold💦
So l'm wearing this mask.....! Is that strange to you?

The reason why l am posting this is because funny experience l had when l was in the USA.
When l was in college l tried to maintain my health but sometimes l caught a cold.
One day, l wore mask to school and l was getting a lot of strange looks.
Some people even tried to walk far from me.
Then l went to talk to my professor about homework, he told me to not wear mask.
l asked him why? then he explained me that wearing mask is not
part of their culture.
Only at hospital or people who has disease or special illness wears mask in the USA, so l was scaring others by wearing it!
It was very shocking to me.
In Japan, wearing mask when we have cold is a good manner!
It will prevent from spreading germs when we caught or sneeze and also prevent getting more germs from outside.
We also wear mask during high pollen season or flue season.
So we can protect ourselves!

So if you ever come to Japan, don't freak out! you will see many people wearing mask for these reasons 😊
