There are many who leave their skin in the gym or exercising in order to lose those dangerous kilos of more that tend to adorn the abdomen. But new research suggests that, in addition to burning fat, this activity can cause diabetes.

A study published in the journal Nature Medicine, explains how, after observing lab mice to exercise, they realized that while activity can help them burn fat, it can also lead to diabetes. This is a consequence of an enzyme called histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3). The circadian clock works by turning certain genes "in and out" of the muscles during the 24-hour cycle. HDAC3 is a key connection between the circadian clock and gene expression.

Therefore, the researchers suggest that we choose the time at which we exercise well, since the enzyme acts differently depending on the time of day. The ideal, according to them, is to take a walk at night fasting.
