Malunggay Juice Extracts With Pineapple

in #health8 years ago

Greetings of a healthy Saturday fellow Steemians. It has been a while since my last blog. I will be talking today about my latest adventure to a healthy life. To be honest, I am not a fan of herbal juices or plant extracts.. But with our present climate condition and with the struggles of my father in battling cough and fever, I realized prevention is much better than cure.
So here is our first try of making malungay juice with pineapple to taste.

Malunggay is one of the most common plants in the Philippines. It is grown everywhere. It is also considered a miracle plant because it has a lot of health benefits. The leaves are rich in viramins A, B, C, D and E which are good for our health. The leaves can also be used in cooking.

First, wash the malunggay to make sure it's clean. Then using a juicer, put the malunggay inside to extract its juice. After a few minutes, the juice is now ready. It is pure malunggay juice. It smells good I must say.

Look at that. It is very concentrated. The smell is very enticing but I can't assure you if the taste is as enticing as the smell. As it is our first time, we needed some encouragement to do it, lol. We added a little pineapple to give it a little taste. And true, it did taste better. That even my 6 year-old daughter dared to drink it.

Here's a glimpse of the pineapple chunks we used for the juice. Well, I ate some of it....sorry mom.

And now, presenting to you our malunggay juice with pineapple. Good for our health.
Cheers for a good health everyone!
