What is Oregano?
Oregano came from a greek word "OROS" means mountain and "GANOS" means joy. It usually uses for cooking and for some medications. The aromatic smell of this leaves best when dried. It grows around 50 cm tall and 2-3 centimeters in length.
What are the benefits?
It has a anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-microbial effect.
It also contains vitamins like K, A, C ,E and B6. Researchs says that it has folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, fiber, anf lastly potassium. Very healthty!
The oil from it's leaves can be used to treat some minor colds and flu.
If you add some dried oregano leaves to your meat when cooking it, may help to reduce toxins that we maybe creating while cooking. Studies shown that one of the factors is the cooking utensils that we've used like aluminum.
