5 Tips for Better Health

in #health7 years ago (edited)

Some diseases can not be avoided. Yet you can do much to prevent or slow down their progress. The five suggestions below will help you get better health.

1 KEEP GOOD HYGIENE

When rubbing your eyes or nose with your microbe, you cool and make the flu easier. Therefore, the best thing is to wash your hands regularly. Good hygiene can also prevent more serious illnesses, such as pneumonia and diarrheal diseases, each year causing the deaths of over two million children under five. Even the spread of Ebola's deadly virus can be reduced by simply wiping the hands.

There are times when it is even more important to wash your hands to protect your health and others. You have to wash your hands:

After you go to the spa.

After changing your diapers to your baby or taking it to the bath.

  • Before and after you treat a wound or a cut.

  • Before and after meeting a sick person.

  • Before you prepare, eat or serve food.

  • After you sneeze, cough or wipe your nose.

  • After touching an animal or animal stool.

  • After throwing the trash.

Do not suffice to wash your hands tread and go. Studies have shown that a large percentage of those using public baths do not wash their hands at all or do not wash them properly. How should you wash your hands?

  • Cover with running and clean water and rub with soap.

  • Get on well, without forgetting the nails, the big toes, the back of your hand, and the middle of your fingers.

  • Spray for at least 20 seconds.

  • Wash with running and clean water.

  • Say clean towels or handwritten paper.

These are simple measures, but prevent diseases and save lives.

2 USE PURE WATER

In some places, every day people are struggling to provide clean water. Nevertheless, it can turn into a problem in every part of the world if it is polluted by floods, storms, pipe cracks or other causes. If it does not come from a safe source or if not properly preserved, it can cause parasites, cholera, deadly diarrhea, typhoid, hepatitis and other diseases. Every year about 1.7 billion cases of diarrhea are related to drinking water contamination.

You can do much to prevent diseases or to slow down their progress

Cholera occurs most often when water and food are contaminated by the outbreaks of infected people. What measure can you take to protect yourself from water pollution, even immediately after the outbreak of a catastrophe?

Make sure that you're using drinking water when you brush your teeth, when you make ice, when cooking food and cleaning dishes etc, also make sure the water comes from a clean source. For example, be bottled water by name or water from properly treated public stocks and check out who produces it and their reputation.

  • If you suspect that the pipes are dirty, boil the water before using it or treat it with appropriate disinfectant chemicals.

  • When using such chemicals, such as chlorine or water purification tablets, carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Use quality filters if you can find it and if you can afford it financially of course.

  • Always keep the treated water in clean, covered containers.

  • Make sure that any container you use to get water, is clean.

  • Do not touch the dishes with dirty hands and do not put your hands or fingers in the drinking water.

3 Take good care of your food

No good health without good food. You should therefore keep a healthy and balanced diet. You should be careful with the amount of salt, fat and sugar and the size of the ration. It has fruits and vegetables and occasionally change the menu. When buying bread, cereals, pasta or rice, read the list of ingredients and select them with integral ingredients. They have more nutritional and fiber values than processed cereal foods. As for the protein, eat small portions of fat without fat and, if possible, try to eat fish twice a week. In some places, foods rich in protein of plant origin can be found.

Excessive use of sugar and solid fats, such as butter, can lead to overweight. To reduce your risk, drink water instead of sweet drinks. Has fruit, instead of confectionery. Decrease the grease you take from sausage, meat, butter, sweets, cheese and biscuits. Cook with healthy oils instead of solid fats.

Excess salt, or sodium in particular, increases blood pressure. If you have trouble with the tension, read the information on the food packaging to get as little sodium as possible. Instead of salt, use spices and spicy peppers to give cooking flavors.

Another problem is food poisoning. Any food can become poisonous unless prepared and not properly stored. According to WHO, every year millions are poisoned by food. Most people recover quickly, but some lose their lives. What can you do to reduce the likelihood of poisoning?

  • During the growth, vegetables can be thrown into organic fertilizers, so drink them well before eating or cooking.

  • Before cooking, hot water soap hands, kitchen board, kitchen utensils and counter top.

  • For a food not to be poisoned by another, always wash the plate or the surface that previously had raw eggs, meat or fish.

  • Cook the food until it reaches the right temperature and immediately insert into the fridge any food that you will consume later.

  • Shed foods that have been stuck for more than one or two hours at temperatures higher than 32 degrees.

4 Do physical activities

Regardless of your age, do physical activities to be in shape. Many people today are not active enough. Why are Physical Activities Important? They help:

  • Sleep well.

  • Do not get pissed.

  • Strengthen your bones and muscles.

  • Maintain or achieve the right weight.

  • Minimize the risk of depression.

  • Reduce the risk of premature death.

If you do not deal with physical activities, it is more likely:

  • To suffer from heart disease.

  • You suffer from type 2 diabetes.

  • Having high blood pressure.

  • Having high cholesterol levels.

  • To have cerebral hemorrhage.

Appropriate activities depend on your age and your health condition, so it would be best to consult your doctor before starting a program of exercises. According to various sources, children and adolescents have to do daily at least 60 minutes of medium-to-high intensity activities. Adults need to do 150 minutes of average exercise each week or 75 minutes of energetic exercises.

5 Sleep enough

Sufficient sleep should not be seen as a matter of choice. According to experts, enough sleep is important for:

  • Growth and development of children and adolescents.

  • Learning and remembering information.

  • Preserving the balance of hormones that affect metabolism and weight.

  • Cardiovascular health.

  • Prevention of diseases.

According to some, lack of sleep is related to obesity, depression, heart disease, diabetes, and tragic accidents. Therefore, it is certainly worth the rest.

But what can you do if you understand that you do not get fed up with sleep?

  • Try to stretch and get up at the same time every day.

  • The room where you sleep should be calm, dark, recreation / ease ,not too warm and not too cold.

  • Do not watch TV or use electronic devices while you are in bed.

  • Lay out to be as quiet as possible.

  • Do not overdo it and do not drink caffeine or alcohol just before you sleep.

If, even after you have implemented these suggestions, you are still suffering from sleeplessness or other sleep issues, such as excessive fatigue during the day or breathing while sleeping, perhaps it is better to consult a physician in this field.
