20 reasons to start your day with lemon water / juice
First of all let me start by letting you know that I have been a Personal Trainer in Norway for 10 years and a Teacher for 5 years . And all information I give you are information that I have researched trough a variety of articles and always tried it out in my diet before recommending it to you.
I really feel I need to have felt something on my own body before recommending it to others, and I have been drinking lemon juice for the past 6 months. I haven't been sick , I feel great and hopefully there is more to it than placebo . I live a balanced life between work,training and enjoying a late night out. ( and even after a late night out,there is some benefits behind lemon water, read on ;)
I truly feel that this is something everyone should add to their diet. I have passed it on to my family and we are all on the freakin' lemon train now.
I have gathered the beneficial benefits in 20 reasons you should get on the lemon train.
Improved digestion: The lemon helps the liver to produce acid needed for digestion to run its course, and has otherwise vitamins and minerals that help to keep toxins away from the digestive tract.
Heartburn: Struggling with heartburn, try drinking half a glass of water with a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Diuretic: The lemon is a diuretic making you naturally go to the toilet more often. The toxins that are in your body will leave your body faster.
Lemon strengthens the immune system: Because of the large amounts of vitamin C found in lemon. Lemon is valuable for strengthening the immune system and prevent illness. Nobody wants to get sick.
Viral infections: Struggling with colds and coughs, simply start drinking your lemon juice / water
Healing effect: As an extension of the above, we can generally say that the lemon contains both vitamin C and ascorbic acid. This is important for a healthy skeleton and to recuperate from injuries and illness.
Get rid of phlegm in the chest: Are you getting a lot of dairy products,? Then you might be bothered by mucus in the chest and coughing when you wake up in the morning. Some lemon water will help towards this!

But you must keep in mind that lemon juice is harsh for your teeth, I recommended to brush your teeth before or some time after you've been drinking lemon water. Alternatively you can gargle a little plain water to rinse the acid away.

Cleans the outside: Lemons contain antioxidants that help skin stay clean and pretty.It is claimed that vitamin C helps to reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and dark spots. You can actually apply some lemon directly on the areas that should need it.
Cleans the inside : Lemon water also take care of what's on the inside. You know, organs and stuff.
