Thank You Fast Food Industry!
Dear Fast Food Industry (FFI),
I'm sending this letter to thank you for your great work!
We are lucky you have found a fast way to provide healthy, nutritious food for the masses at such a cheap price! I'm still not sure how you manage to source only high quality ingredients and still keep your prices so low... You must do it to provide those with less income an alternative to expensive fresh foods.
My friend was trying to convince me that your prices are low because you artificially manufacture your food. Adding preservatives, artificial flavours and other chemical fillers. She also said you use mechanically separated meat (MSM/Pink Slime) which is just all the ratty off-cuts minced into a puree... Surely this can't be true.
But don't worry
I assured her you would never lower the quality of your food simply to make more money.
If the FFI really did care more about profits than its customers health, obesity rates would have been rising since the 1960's. They would be at an all time high by now! Along with diabetes and heart disease.
It's undoubted that you care about our children's health too!
Firstly, you provide great play facilities for our kids so that we can eat in peace. This gives children plenty of physical activity and totally isn't just used to attract tired parents to a quick and easy dinner option.
Secondly, you sponsor so many sporting events! From the Olympics to kids sporting events you are always there to promote physical activity to our children. With so much advertisement at their sporting events, my kids are always asking for McDonalds after they play sport on a Saturday.
I use fast food as a treat option for my children so that later in life they can develop mental connection between fast food and achievement!
Fast Food Industry, thank you for everything that you do. While caring for your customers health, you somehow manage to turn over $19bn worth of nutritious food every year! Imagine if millions of your customers were never able to access such convenient, nutritional food? What a state the world would be in!
