The malaria scourge has accounted for more dead persons in Africa... What more can be done to eradicate it?
This is a very important issue that must be written about. Africa is one of the top growing continent around the globe with more than 5 billion people. The sad news about this is that the more we have birth rate occurring in Africa, the more we also have high death rate. This death rate is caused by so many factors but Malaria is seem to be one of the ubiquitous factor leading to high death rate in some part of Africa.
I do feel very sad whenever I come across cases like this and I hope the below tips can help eradicate the death rate caused by Malaria in Africa.
1) THE NEED FOR MORE HEALTH CENTER: We all know that when our car develops any fault, we drive our car to a mechanic shop because there are lots of experts that can help to detect the fault or problem developed by your car. Similarly, when we fall sick, we visit the doctor and health centers or hospitals because they are health expert that can help solve our problem regarding our health.
The sad part about this is that there are some part in Africa with few health centers while some don't even have any. There are lots of patients visiting the hospital everyday and this may be a burden on the doctors or health workers due to the large number of patients.
I think if the government can develop or build more health centers in the required places in Africa, there is possibility of saving more people lives over there.
2) THE NEED FOR EQUIPPED FACILITIES : It is very sad that some places in Africa aren't well equipped in terms of health facilities and technology. This has actually caused the transfer of patient from one hospital to another which reduces the chance of the patient getting saved automatically dry due to the time involved. I think the government bodies should equipped the health centers that lack proper health equipment as this will also save more people's lives.
3)EMPLOYING UNSKILLED PERSONNEL: Our love and greed for money has endanger the lives of some other people due to our hypocritical behavior. There are some people who aren't qualified to be an expert in the health sector, but they got employed either by paying bribe or by their influence in the organization. This same bodies won't give job to a qualified person with excellent grades and good practical skills because the person isn't influential and doesn't know anyone in great position to assist.
When we keep giving the right posts to the wrong people, it leads to the destruction of the system. This implies that not everyone you call a doctor or health practitioner is actually qualified to be in that position but they gained their post by power and influence.
The fact is that you can't give what you don't have just like you can't solve people's health problems you don't know about. I think the health organization should look more into this aspect to avoid people being misled by fake health experts.
4)PROVIDE FREE ANTI MALARIA DRUGS OR PROTECTION: I am actually proud to say there are some places in Africa who are giving out free medication and free mosquito net at some certain point every year. This practice isn't really that rampant but it is mostly done when by some charity organization. I think there should be some governmental bodies responsible for disseminating free drugs and free mosquitoe net or coil at least few times in a year and I hope this will save more people's lives.
5) EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT MALARIA: It is important we educate more people about the adverse effect of Malaria and it causes because prevention is better than cure. We need to educate more people about how they can avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes, we need to advise them to always clear their gutters and dirty water from their environment and other things that can protect them from getting afflicted with Malaria. Sometimes, advising people and proper education can solve a great problem. Also the government should play a major role by influencing the media with proper advertisements about Malaria Education.
In conclusion, let's protect the lives of others just like we protect our lives because true love can only bring peace and happiness to the world.
