Factors that cause difficult pregnancy: Diseases of the reproductive organs
Factors that cause difficult pregnancy:
Diseases of the reproductive organs
Male infertility can only be seen in WHO standard laboratories and this includes the shape, movement, and number of sperm. On the other hand, about 60 percent of the cause of difficult pregnancy in women is due to a blockage in the fallopian tubes, the channel that connects between the ovaries with the uterus. Other causes are the presence of disorders of the reproductive organs, such as eggs appear immature or small, PCOS, endometriosis, and others.
PCOS causes the hormone in women to become unbalanced, causing the menstrual cycle to fall apart. This irregular menstrual cycle is what makes the menstrual cycle becomes infertile because it is not accompanied by ovulation. When ovulation does not occur, then fertilization of ovum and sperm also will not occur, so that the pregnancy failed to occur.
While endometriosis is a disease when tissue grows abnormally outside the uterus. At the time of menstruation, the tissue will bleed and cause inflammation causing pain and bleeding.
About 80 percent of infertility cases are caused by endometriosis. For example, when endometriosis occurs in the fallopian tubes, the sperm will find it difficult to reach and fertilize the ovum cells so that the process of conception becomes difficult to happen.
This is because endometriosis can cause adhesiveness and alter the location of the uterine organs and release substances that are toxic to eggs and embryos.
Although endometriosis may increase the risk of getting pregnant, it is not necessarily the case in all cases. Therefore, it still needs further examination by the doctor to confirm the diagnosis.
