Homemade muselie
I did research into which foods are high in nutrients but lacking in my diet, i came up with a recipe for a museli which i want to share with you, all the ingredients are readily available in the UK
A lot of the ingredients are seeds nuts and dried fruits, i dont mind the nuts by themselves but the seeds!! well lets just say im not a budgie and the dried fruits i find too sweet by themselves for my palate.
So here it is
1kg raw rolled oats
200g mixed nuts 25% each of almonds hazlenuts cashews walnuts
200g seed mix 40% sunflower 40% pumpkin 10% linseed 10% sesame
200g pumpkin seed (optional)
300g trail mix comprising coconut flakes pecan nuts dried fruit
150g berry and cherry mix Goji, raisen ,cranberry,sultana, cherry
100g milled superseed mix incl chia black onion seed and hemp
I put it all in a big dish and thoroghly mix it and store it raw
It lasts about a month, you dont need a big bowl if your eating other stuff aswell, i have it with milk but you could have it with anything you want.
I normally eat a selection of nuts not in the museli, a selection of fresh fruit and either fried eggs or yoghurt alongside my museli. I know it sounds a lot but that keeps me going all day till i have my tea, as long as i drink water through the day i dont feel hungry.
