RE: If a Pea Sized Amount Of Flouridated Tooth Paste Is Toxic - What about Fluoridated Water Supplies?
While I have no doubt you're right -- that flouride is a health danger -- my question is:
What do you use instead of toothpaste?
Anybody?
From eucalyptus oil to baking soda to just buying "fluride free" toothpaste, i've heard of many variants to toothpaste
from what i hear eucalyptus oil, baking soday, hydrogen peroxide (used for really bad teeth) all work wonders
Thanks @stacylgage
I've used baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) with my toothbrush. AndI've used eucalyptus oil on my skin (for bites, if I recall) but its aroma is quite intense so I'm thinking that in my mouth it might be... interesting... but not in an appealing way.
I've heard it works wonders
but just like hydrogen peroxide and baking soda it's a "ya gotta get used to it" sorta deal. (took me forever to get used to baking soda :D )
Indeed. I've used baking soda but I do rather miss the nice pepperminty zing of commercial toothpaste. The search continues...
I know trader joes has it and Lucky's, along with HEB or raileys and those vitamin shops (not like the GNC shop). If you have any near you i would recommend checking em out
Thanks Stacy. Our American readers will appreciate your list but we dont have those stores here in Australia. When I'm less at the keyboard, I should do my own hunting for fluoride-free toothpaste.
TY for your contribution.
Gary
There are plenty of non fluoridated toothpastes available here, or alternatively it is possible to make your own that matches your own preference. There are recipes available online. I use one made by 'green people'.
Thanks for that.
I must look into it further and see what's available here in Australia.
