Colloidal Silver Is Antibacterial, Antiviral, and Safe Treatment for Pink Eye

in health •  last year

Silver has inherent worth; it has established and respected characteristics that make it valuable to the tech, financial, and medical industries.

That's right--silver has medicinal properties!

Science has known for over a hundred years that silver has powerful antibacterial properties--it’s called the oligodynamic effect.

Silver can eradicate bacteria!

Actually, the silver ion is the active agent.
You can nerd out on the science by clicking here. (Learn how it slips across the walls of bacteria, how it interacts with DNA, how it deactivates enzymes, and so much more! OoOoOoO...SCIENCE!)

Silver can eradicate viruses!

Science demonstrates multiple mechanisms of silver’s antiviral powers (it can inactivate the virus before entering the host cell, or it can preferentially bind to the host cell to prevent viral attachment).

Click here to get down on even more science.

Because of its incredible proven antibacterial AND antiviral properties, silver ions--like those found in colloidal silver--eradicate many diseases and ailments, including conjunctivitis.

Conjunctivitis (AKA pink eye) is caused by infection of the delicate conjunctiva mucous membranes that lines the eyelids and covers the whites of the eye. Pink eye symptoms:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Itching
  • Tearing
  • Gooey, crusty discharge

Pink eye can be caused by 3 things:

  1. Viruses
  2. Bacteria
  3. Irritants (like shampoo or dust)

iWhile rritants can be flushed out of the eyes with water, COLLOIDAL SILVER can neutralize both viral AND bacterial infections.

Colloidal silver is so safe and effective that you can drop it in the eyes of newborn babies to cure pink eye--even hospitals use a silver solution for this purpose.

Users see results within a day of using colloidal silver for eye infections.

Rissa P. shares her experience:

“My baby daughter, Eowyn, woke up one morning with pink eye--mucous, oozy, crusty and all. I brought out the colloidal silver and dropped some in her eye. Within 15 MINUTES, the infection was gone--NOW THERE IS NO PINK EYE! That’s some powerful stuff!!”

We offer a 0.5 oz bottle of the world’s highest quality 100 ppm colloidal silver for a suggested donation of $33. It is safe, non-toxic, and non-reactive, with a lower cost than pharmaceuticals and no side effects! We will continue to share the super healing power of colloidal silver in upcoming posts!

Gotta love the colloidal silver. Nice post!

·

Thanks! It's a staple for sure.

·

Yes its as close to a miracle as I have ever seen!

I used it for step, swimmer's ear and other health issues with my kids for years. It's amazing ! Way way way way better than antibiotics ! Thanks for sharing the answers!

·

Microbes are frequently mutating past the scope of antibiotics, but colloidal silver uses so many different paths of attack that pathogens don't really evolve past its capabilities. PLUS antibiotics might be effective against a handful of diseases, but colloidal silver has been proven to succeed against over 600!!!

·
·

Would love to see the proof that it's effective in fighting over 600 pathogens.

·

Totally agree. In truth it can replace ANY antibiotic for ANY use and outperform in every way!

I use my colloidal silver for many different things including open cuts to stiff joints. I never put it in my eyes, though. Thanks for expanding my silver horizons.

·

Yes, you can put it in your eyes or ears or up your nose or in any other orifice! It's super gentle and super effective.

I'm more likely to use it for external purposes in small amounts (pink eye for example) until I learn more about this heavy metal. Do you have any research that shows it is safe for the brain, etc? My concern is adding a heavy metal to the body. I would trust it more if it showed both sides "it can't (or can) mess with you like this".. that way I know that was considered.

@jamesc, as pointed out in the first linked study in the original post, "there is a serious lack of information about the impact of metal nanoparticles on human health and environment". I'd wait for this to be resolved before using this stuff in any capacity in or on your body, just as the authors of the study advise.
http://www.mdpi.com/1420-3049/16/10/8894

"Although the continuous evolutions in the field of metal-based nanoparticles for drug delivery,
medical imaging, diagnostics, therapeutics and engineering technology, there is a serious lack of
information about the impact of metal nanoparticles on human health and environment, probably due to the intrinsic complex nature of nanoparticles that have led to different attitudes on their safety."

"Several studies have demonstrated the cytotoxic effects of metal nanoparticles [90–93], in
fact, silver nanoparticles were found to be highly cytotoxic to mammalian cells based on the
assessment of mitochondrial function, membrane leakage of lactate dehydrogenase, and abnormal cell morphologies [90–93]."

"Although significant progress has been made to elucidate the mechanism of silver
nanomaterial toxicity, a proved consensus on the immediate impact or long term effect on human
health is still missing. Further research is required to provide the necessary warranties to allow a safely exploitation of the interesting in vitro antiviral properties of silver nanoparticles and their transfer to the clinical setting."

"Nonetheless, for metal nanoparticles to be used in therapeutic or prophylactic treatment regimens, it is critical to understand the in vivo toxicity and potential for long-term sequelae associated with the exposure to these compounds. Additional research is needed to determine how to safely design, use, and dispose products containing metal nanomaterials without creating new risk to humans or the environment."

There are many factors that contribute to toxicity of silver products. First, silver is obviously toxic to bacteria and viruses, which makes it beneficial to humans. Second, toxicity is dependent on nanoparticle size, concentration, origin, and nanoparticle coating.

For clarification, one drop of our colloidal silver contains 3.6 mcg of nano-colloidal-biosilver. The recommended dose is one drop a day to boost the immune system, or a person can self medicate with maybe 10 drops for something serious. These amounts have not been found to be toxic. Additionally, the nanoparticles in this product have a proprietary coating that allows them to pass through the harsh environment of the stomach without degrading.

We have hundreds of accounts, many of them with long-term continued use. We'll continue to share our first hand experience with this product, historical testimonials, and hundreds of scientific studies that have proven the efficacy and safety of colloidal silver--we have compiled far too much research to release in a single post or comment.

Here's a tiny bit of newer research:
"Biogenic silver nanoparticles are generally less cyto/genotoxic in vivo compared with chemically synthesized nanoparticles. Furthermore, human cells were found to have a greater resistance to the toxic effects of silver nanoparticles in comparison with other organisms." de Lima, R., Seabra, A. B. and Durán, N. (2012), Silver nanoparticles: a brief review of cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of chemically and biogenically synthesized nanoparticles. J. Appl. Toxicol., 32: 867–879. doi:10.1002/jat.2780

We don't endorse the use of silver products across the board, because there are huge fluctuations in quality and lots of misinformation available. Ours is the highest quality we have found, thus it is the only colloidal silver we endorse.

Diving deeper into cytotoxicity and the differences in silver products will make a great follow up post-- thank you!

@gardenofeden - you do know that a good number of these links you've posted say that the use of silver is unsubstantiated and not safe, right? Just trying to impress us with the volume of links you've collected? And many of them aren't even about silver.

Here's the first thing that pops up on the NIH link you posted. You are literally making my case for me.

colloidal silver

Colloidal silver is not endorsed by Big Pharma or the mafia that protects them. Keep reading! Why did you ask for sources?

·
·
·
·

Colloidal silver isn't endorsed because there is no solid evidence that it is safe or effective. Why did you provide the link if it says the opposite of what you are trying to convince me of?

That link is from the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health. If anyone is going to endorse something that Big Pharma doesn't have their hand in it would be them.

From this study you linked, here's the conclusion paragraph in the abstract.

"The interactions of inorganic nanoparticles with biosystems are just beginning to be understood, and potential applications are being discovered at an increasing rate. However, in order to realize the future promise of nanoscience, it is imperative that the toxicity and long-term health effects of exposure to nanomaterials be fully explored. "

"There are many factors that contribute to toxicity of silver products. First, silver is obviously toxic to bacteria and viruses, which makes it beneficial to humans."

Not true. Silver is obviously toxic to CELLS and DNA, making it potentially harmful to humans.

"Second, toxicity is dependent on nanoparticle size, concentration, origin, and nanoparticle coating."

Do you have a source for this information?

"For clarification, one drop of our colloidal silver contains 3.6 mcg of nano-colloidal-biosilver. The recommended dose is one drop a day to boost the immune system, or a person can self medicate with maybe 10 drops for something serious. These amounts have not been found to be toxic."

Source? Both for the recommended dose and the idea that this amount is not toxic?

"Additionally, the nanoparticles in this product have a proprietary coating that allows them to pass through the harsh environment of the stomach without degrading."

Source? Peer-reviewed study, ideally published in a high impact publication?

Your asking people to believe you based on not much information, and the studies you do post have contradictory information in them - making it clear that ingesting or using silver is not at all yet proven to be safe.

I appreciate your resistance and skepticism.
It just proves how confident I am as not only does it not change my mind but it is just so obvious how devastating cognitive dissonance is within people.
Its been proven safe for many hundreds of years. You don't need to agree. I am continually the healthiest person every where I go and am sure you despite all your skepticism are not even in the same league.
This is a free world and I won't waste my freedom arguing with someone. Arguing is a waste of time. We have compiled extensive data and more importantly have REAL experience and PROVEN success, as do thousands of others.
If you notice you don't get any uproots for your comments yet this post is worth more than ALL of your other posts combined.
Glad we don't even have to down vote your posts. They already have no impact.

"We have compiled extensive data and more importantly have REAL experience and PROVEN success, as do thousands of others."

Yet - I have asked for this proof and you haven't provided anything substantial. The fact that the internet likes what you are selling doesn't make it true, healthy, or effective.

Low quality colloidal silver in VERY large amounts can be somewhat of a problem in the sense that it can build up in the system. Though even in these rare cases it is not really dangerous to health. In fact all the rich people used to have silver cups, plates, silver ware etc because it was so healthy.
What's even more awesome is that Nascent Iodine which is an essential nutrient for the body of which its benefits are numerous , is the best at detoxifying heavy metals in the body. Not just silver but much more toxic heavy metals like murcury or lead.
So even if u did take a LOT, with The Garden of Eden Nascent iodine you can improve every day health, plus detox ALL heavy metal build up!
Epic win!

Great question, @jamesc! The GOE carries the world's highest quality colloidal silver. The nanoparticles are only 10 nm; numerous studies have concluded this is the optimal size for getting into tissues, doing its business, and being flushed from the system. Nanoparticles > 35 nm can potentially collect in tissues, particularly under the skin.

Poor quality silver products (that is, those with nanoparticles > 35 nm, and silver salts and silver proteins erroneously marketed as colloidal silver) have the potential to turn a person blue in a condition called argyria. Silver particles collect under the skin and react with sunlight in the same chemical process that develops an x-ray. There are no other side effects to argyria, save an unsightly and irreversible change in skin color. Again, the nanoparticles in GOE colloidal silver are only 10 nm, thus there is no potential for developing argyria, because the tiny nanoparticles pass harmelessly through the body after working their antibacterial and antiviral powers.

Studies are confirming the efficacy of 10 nm, 100 ppm colloidal silver against a range of diseases. Studies that show potential accumulation of silver in tissues are looking at larger particle size at extremely high concentrations (such as giving 300 mg of 18+ nm nanoparticles to rats.) This study concludes that even at those enormous doses, there is a mere possibility of liver damage: https://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/search/a?dbs+hsdb:@term+@DOCNO+7715)

Plus, as @quinneaker points out, nascent iodine has the incredible property of detoxing heavy metals. Even if you did take enormous quantities of silver by drinking bottles and bottles and bottles of poor quality solutions at a time, nascent iodine can push it all through your system without build up or side effects.
