World's Kidney Day

What is life without your vital organs... The Kidney a paired bean shaped organ, with a length of just 12cm(so small right?) , but its function is second to none.
Can one live on one kidney? The answer is yes, but why live with one kidney when you can actually care for the both just like your twin babies. People suffer kidney failures for lack of knowledge.
Do you that hypertension is a predisposing factor to kidney failure?
Do you know that too much intake of drugs has a negative effect on the kidney?
Do you know that kidney failure have other negative effects on other organs of the body?
Do you know that infections can lead to kidney damage?
Today 8th march 2018which marks the world's Kidney day, the National Association of Nephrologists (NAN)UNTH Enugu Chapter In collaboration with Medical Research and Humanitarian Society (MEDRHUS) which I happen to be the President,i am a medical student of the above hospital., we honoured this day by carrying out a kidney screening on over 400 individuals today at Ogbete main market Enugu Nigeria. This was for the love of humanity, and also love for all women, as we also mark the "international women day".
