The Importance of Breasfeeding

I'm happy you are reading this post. It is possible that you may have pregnant, nursing and would-be mothers around you. I would be listing the importance of breastfeeding your baby for at least the first three to six months after birth.

• Breastfeeding protects your child from some long term sicknesses.

• Breastfeeding may reduce your risk of some types of cancer.

With all these benefits one would hope that many mothers would breastfeed their babies but the reverse is the case as there are factors that tend to discourage some mothers from breastfeeding their babies. A mother whose breast does not produce milk in the first 24 hours after childbirth would definitely look for an alternative in order for her baby not to starve.

So, it is necessary to clean and massage your nipples out during pregnancy to open blocked ducts in order to enhance the production of breast milk after child birth.
