Low cost, affordable housing have long waiting list, sometimes up to 4 years or longer. In Asia, bamboo is used to build low cost houses for homeless people. Bamboo is really cheap.
There must be some other ways to provide homes like things that aren't being used anymore like train cars or airplanes.

obviously we need more community housing - a society is only as rich as its poorest members
