Homemade mineral make-up: foundation, powder and powder blush prepared by you and in 5 minutes

At home, #easily and #cheaply, it is possible to make #mineral make-up bases that we use more often as natural powder in powder (not compact), mineral foundation powder and mineral blush, also in powder form.

The choice of the powder rather than the compact pod resides both in the ease of preparation suitable for everyone, and in the long life (infinite I would say) of the finished product if stored correctly, ie protected from moisture and light.

That's why I prefer to keep most of the powder inside glass jars (absolutely #recycled) and pour only the amount of use I need in small jars, also recycled to put in the makeup bag.

But let's go step by step.
What do you need to prepare our completely #homemade, #vegan and #mineral #makeup?

First of all, rice starch with a strong absorbing power but also zinc oxide with strong antibacterial properties, also absorbing and disinfecting kaolin, and oxides (red, blue and yellow, but with time you will learn about lands, ochres and mica ).

You can also add titanium dioxide for greater coverage but personally I find myself very well even without then to start you can also avoid adding it.

But here are the #recipes.

To prepare your colorless powder mixed:

•rice starch 30g
•zinc oxide 30g

To prepare your foundation powder in the base tone mixed:

•zinc oxide 11g
•kaolin 6g
•rice starch 3g

Now to get the three shades of your #foundation (ie light, medium and dark), add the red, yellow and blue oxides in different doses and voila the game will be done:

•light tone - red oxide 0.4g, yellow oxide 1.2g, blue oxide 0.8g

•medium tone - red oxide 0.6g, yellow oxide 1.8g, blue oxide 1.2g

•dark - red oxide tone 0.8g, 2.4g yellow oxide, 1.6g blue oxide

If you want to get a #blush mixed instead

•red oxide 1.2g, yellow oxide 1g, blue oxide 0.6g

So now you have your complete palette.

The trick is to mix the powders very well: if you think they are perfectly mixed here, do not stop and keep mixing, probably they are not!

To do this more easily, rather than using elbow grease and the classic ceramic pestle, I strongly recommend the use of a grinder or a small chopper or a coffee grinder, try it!

Once you have made your powders you can always experiment with new shades and shades but remember the importance of a very good mixing: what could happen in fact is that one day, using your homemade foundation, you will find a blue or yellow strip in the middle to the face, then mix your powder in the most homogeneous way possible to prevent it from happening (even) to you!

Last tip: try the shades with the light of day and directly on the face and not on the hand or in the light of a lamp, the effect will be real and not offset by the artificial light shade.

Side note: I decided for many years to use a powder makeup, as well as for practicality also to take advantage of its absorption properties mainly due to white clay having in fact a very oily skin and tending to shine.

Well, if you do not want a fluid foundation because maybe your #skin is dry or normal, you have to do is mix in a small glass jar clean and dry, your favorite face cream with a small amount of powder foundation.

Again, mixing very well with a spatula. What you will get will be a cream foundation perfect for your skin to be applied with a small #sponge, blending it slightly.

Finally, do you want to prepare your #natural make up fixative for you to use after make-up powder?

mix 100g of demineralized water, 5g 95th alcohol, 2g vegetable glycerine and a pinch of salt as a preservative.

Use it on your face but having the foresight not to use it if you expose yourself in the sun due to the presence of #alcohol and the possibility of irritation. Also know that in the summer you can choose to steam simple #water in which you have melted a couple of drops of glycerin and a pinch of salt to obtain the same result but completely alcohol free.

In conclusion, know that there are many online #sales sites of the ingredients that I have shown in the recipes.

I generally buy from aromazone, precise French site, convenient and fast with a lot of useful information on both the ingredients that sell recipes but you can indulge yourself and find out who is right for you.

Good #green and homemade #beauty to all!

Hey can you guide me please how to apply makeup on eyes.

Hi @waleedd, sure! you can put powder only after eyes-primer for lasting performance. You can mix many different colors directly on the skin, exactly a normal make up. I hope I have been helpful, see you soon :)
