"Vitamin awareness Day 2": Vitamin A

Today is the second day of my vitamin awareness program and this day I will be talking about Vitamin A.
Benefits
1- Good eyesight,
Everyone has heard that carrots improve your eyesight. Why is that? It is because it is rich in vitamin A. If your eyesight is weak you should check if you have a vitamin A deficiency.
2- Prevents heart diseases and cancer,
3- Important for reproduction,
4- Anti-aging, prevents wrinkles,
5- Helps in a healthy bone growth,
6- Supports immune system,
Genes involved in immune responses are regulated by Vitamin A. A deficiency in this vitamin can lead to increased infections and an overall weakened immune system.
7- Powerful antioxidant which is involved in reducing inflammation through fighting free radical damage,
8- Studies have shown that Vitamin A can fight acne and improve overall skin condition,
9- Wound healing and skin growth,
10- Good complexion.
What are the health problems causes by Vitamin A deficiency?
1- Night blindness,
A vitamin A deficiency will lead to night blindness and can eventually cause thickening of the cornea and blindness.
2- Pancreatic disorders,
3- Leaky gut
According to healthywomen.org, Leaky gut, or "intestinal permeability," as Victor explained, is a condition in which the lining of the small intestine becomes damaged, causing undigested food particles, toxic waste products and bacteria to "leak" through the intestines and flood the blood stream.
People at risk for a vitamin A deficiency include alcoholics who’s excess toxicity creates low vitamin A levels. Also, people with long term malabsorption of fats will have a vitamin A deficiency.
Food rich in Vitamin A
1- Carrots,
2- Sweet potato,
3-Kale,
4- Spinach,
5- Apricots,
6- Broccoli,
7- Eggs,
8- Milk,
9- Orange,
10- Green leafy vegetables and other green.
