Hello and welcome to my blog today.

I remember a girl in my compound who always bring brings plum on her way back from her village. She's from bonny in Rivers state. At first I was like what kind of fruit is this, I haven't had it before but I love the look on the faces of those whom I saw eating it so I decided to give it a try. Just a bite, I fell deeply in love with it. My roommates and I were discussing about fruits late yesterday and so it crossed my mind to write something about plum. Plums differ in sizes and colours, they are juicy and delicious fruits that belong to the genus Prunus of the
Rosaceae family which also includes peaches, apricots, and nectarines. They have amazing health benefits which is the essence of my post today.

  1. Controls diabetes.
    A full fruit of plum helps you control diabetes. According to professional study, plums are known to reduce the blood sugar levels in the body.

  2. Recommended for obesity.
    This is Ine of the fruits that works like magic in your journey to weight loss. Overweight people consume lots of sugary food which is why plums plays a big role in the picture because it curbs your love for sugary foods.

  3. Good blood flow.
    When you eat plum, it helps you blood flow in your arteries without any form of obstruction.

  4. Daily consumption of plum is very healthy for expecting mothers.

  5. Plums relieves constipation and aids digestive disorder because it contains compounds like sorbitol and isatin.

  6. Eating plum promotes your heart health.

  7. Plums are extremely rich in soluble fibre and it also supports our immune system.

  8. A daily consumption of plums keeps our skin very fresh and protects our skin from winkles and quick ageing. Also drinking a glass of juice gives us a health skin and a beautiful skin tone too giving you a much younger looking skin.

  9. If you have a damaged tissue or wounds, eating plum will help your winds heal faster. And it also helps treat damages on our skin we get from the sun(Sun damages).

  10. Eating plums is also good for our health growth too. It stimulates our hair growth because it has Vitamin E and also removes dandruff from our hair with the Vitamin C contained in it.
