Have you ever done drugs?

Many people fear drugs. Many more fear what they can do.
Some fear not trying. Some others fear what they might not do.

Are drugs really all that what the media puts out about them?

The true understanding as to why they are so enticing and exciting to humans is obvious if we don't overthink things. As human beings we tend to chase one of two things when it come to making a decision- option A: seeking pleasure option B: avoiding pain.
Well drugs literally serve both of those functions.
Those involved in that lifestyle will shell out all the funds necessary to satisfy those needs.

Is that bad?

Yes. Yes it is, and no it doesn't have to be.

disclaimer I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVER DO DRUGS

When we ingest a substance that alters our minds to such an extreme level, we embrace a new perspective on things; a new consciousness so to say. Once we become "under the influence" we experience an emotional disturbance so powerful that for the same feeling to be mimicked in sober minds is almost unfathomable.

It could not be more true that everyone is unique and everyone will react differently to any stimulus. Nevertheless, the fact remains the same : you have just experienced something that an "average" person will most likely never experience.

It is said that all things are good in moderation and they are; if one allows drugs to become the centerfold of their daily life, that person now loses himself and the drug takes over. If one occasionally indulges in substance for recreation the outcome is unknown.

The word drugs tends to come with a negative connotation of dirty, weak, and beat down. True.
I must ask you a question: then what is your outlook on Steve? You know Steve Jobs; he has indulged and what was his life result?

My outlook is limited to my mind, i hope that you are able to give me some feedback and your outlook on this topic. pills-pills-pills-4-1326904.jpg

I'd add to that a third, option C: the desire for novelty. Our curiosity is insatiable, and selfish -- often putting itself before our physical wellbeing. And there's no questioning that 'mind expanding' drugs pique our curiosity. Well, do they really do what they claim? Are You that one statistical anomaly that is predisposed to negatively react to that certain drug? Will it set you on a path you would have otherwise never thought to consider, much less take?

Society is hypocritical about drugs. Psychedelics like LSD or mushrooms are less dangerous, and less addictive than drugs like alcohol & nicotine. The DEA claims marijuana has no legitimate medical usage despite the mountain of evidence stating the contrary. Hopefully one day society will approach drugs rationally on the basis of facts, and not propaganda.

I never tried it
