30 day content creation challenge day 1: Energy Cone Technique - letting go of emotional baggage

OK so yesterday I talked a little bit about energy cone, in this post I want to go into it a bit more in depth and cover what's happening at a deeper level, and why it can help you to improve your life.
When you experience an emotional or physical trauma, the body has a large amount of energy to deal with. A portion of the energy can be released through heat dissipation, the rest of the energy is wrapped up into its smallest from and stored in the body as a type of energy cyst.

This energy cyst is tied in to the overall event and forms a type of bar code in the mind body system that resurfaces whenever we come across a similar stimulus. We can then find ourselves responding in a way that is greatly out of proportion to the present event, unknowingly caused by events from the past. Self-sabotage, unwarranted fear and anger and guilt are all examples of this.

Becoming aware of this has been a real eye opener for me as I’ve gradually uncovered some of the causes of the issues I’ve experienced in life including a fear of success and an unhealthy relationship with money as well as a few other unexpected blocks.

Now it’s this stuff that we’re trying to deal with here, the stuff that’s operating at a level below the conscious threshold, the stuff that influences your thoughts and your behavior in a negative way and this is why the technique is powerful – because it empowers you to remove these blocks that keep you stuck!

The second law of thermodynamics states that energy moves from organised to disorganized so the energy stored in the body is essentially disorganized and becomes an area of entropy that is pulling energy from the overall system. It requires organised energy to reverse the process and this organised energy comes in the form of our intent – touching the palm of the hand as described below can bring up the feeling of the energy we’re holding and by keeping our attention on the feeling we are applying organised energy and the disorganized energy leaves the body.

The steps to follow again:

  1. Have a look at the palm of your hand (left or right – whichever feels best…) and look for any marks that stand out or any particularly strong lines that cross each other (x marks the spot!)
  2. If you have a particular emotion that you want to work with just bring that into your mind, if not just move to step 3
  3. Have a look at your hand again and see if any of the marks or crosses from step 1 stand out – pick one of them and put the middle finger of your opposite hand on the mark or cross
  4. Set your intent to Heal! (simply repeat the word heal whilst focusing on the feeling under your finger)
  5. Pay attention! Pay attention to the feeling under your finger and see If you notice a pulse or a tingling feeling
  6. Pay attention some more, this time to the feelings in your body – scan the body to see if there’s a particular feeling anywhere – it might be something really subtle or it may be something quite strong
  7. Pay attention some more! Once you’ve found a feeling just keep your attention on it until it changes or disappears.

Tomorrow I’ll give you some different applications for this technique and introduce you to a guided visualization for gaining more insight into the past.
