Something about the Sonoran Desert Toad Sessions

Hello everyone, my name is Rafael and I’m located in the awesome Riviera Maya in México, for the last 15 years I have been a licensed behavioral psychotherapist specialized in developmental disorders, addictions and palliative care. I was born in the scorching Sonoran desert where I learned the ways of our native tribes and exchanged knowledge about the ancestral medicine of the Sonoran desert Toad, being appointed as a medicine man. Anyone who goes through the experience finds it difficult to put on plain words the magnitude of it, the more is understood, the less it can be described. This seems to be a common place for most people. I learned from my own experience to focus on appreciating the exquisite sensorial/psychological effects rather than doing memory recalls about the journey. It is true each human individual responds in a different way to one of the most powerful voices of mother earth, I’ve witnessed a wide spectrum of reactions, going from the mind dissociation, to the complex emotional discharge, to the momentary developmental regression. The reality of the neurological effects of the toad venom still remains obscured by the same pharmaceutical research blocking imposed to other substances like LSD or mescaline. So all we have is the empirical findings, observed during the sessions. Personally, I had so far three different electroencephalogram studies performed on me while on the effects of the 5-meo-dmt, the results on the visual response test were baffling, as even though I did responded to the stimuli and followed through with the instructions given by the test administrator, the machine recorded no activity whatsoever on the brain area in charge of controling eye activity. I want to think this has to do a lot with our ability to travel elsewhere through conscience and the proverbial third eye (pineal gland) taking over as it awakens.

And then there is the health concern. Whenever a person smokes a tobacco cigarette, an internal voice appears saying “this is bad for my health, I should stop smoking cigarettes” even minutes or hours after smoking a cigarette, the organism keeps feeling polluted, because it is. Anyone who has smoked enough cigarettes can relate to this. After a toad medicine session you experience exactly the opposite of that, every cell in your body gives a huge “thank you” as the afterglow, a blissful feeling of wellbeing remains for weeks after. No dopamine crash, no withdrawal or adverse side effects. The Sonoran desert toad venom might be the ultimate brain supplement yet to discover. In accordance with the shamanic view of my work, I deem important to articulate and be as objective as possible, when guiding others through this.
