How to prepare Golden Honey

in #health6 years ago

A while ago I watched a video of a youtuber that I've been following for a long time, she talks about different subjects like psychology, astrology, relationship, health and I like her. In that video she was talking about Golden Honey, a product available to buy at some organic shops or order it, and how well it affected her digestive system. She was with the person that created the product, but both of them were claiming that this is not only an advertise and they have some great results from the daily usage of the golden honey and they also shared the recipe and were encouraging people to make it for themselves and try it.
Actually they didn't share the exact proportions, but only the ingredients.
The product contains honey, turmeric, fresh ginger, pepper and coconut cream. Probably everyone knows about the honey and the ginger and how healthy they are. My cure for treating a flu have been a mix of honey, ginger and lemon juice already for several years. And I've also tried to make myself golden milk which is almost the same - some milk, turmeric, pepper and honey but wasn't at all persistent to notice some results.

I had some really great real honey from the mountains, better than any other that I've tasted and also coconut butter, shredded coconut and pepper and decided to make the mix by myself. I found some recipes about Golden Honey, but they contained only honey and turmeric. You can read many articles about the turmeric and its active ingredient - curcumin. It is claimed to be one of the strongest natural healers, much better than the synthetic antibiotics, great booster for the immune system and to have strong anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties. The mix is considered helpful for colds and flues, respiratory problems, arthritis and reumatoid arthritis and weight problems.

The curcumin dissolves in fat, that's why the mix contains coconut cream and the combination of turmeric and black pepper enhance the absorption of curcumin up to 2,000% according to some studies.

There is plenty of information about the benefits of every ingredient and here is an extract from a study if you are interested.

Curcumin has received worldwide attention for its multiple health benefits, which appear to act primarily through its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. These benefits are best achieved when curcumin is combined with agents such as piperine, which increase its bioavailability significantly. Research suggests that curcumin can help in the management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia. It may also help in the management of exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness, thus enhancing recovery and subsequent performance in active people. In addition, a relatively low dose can provide health benefits for people that do not have diagnosed health conditions. Source.

And here is how I prepared mine. I don't have health issues now so I made it just to try it and see if something different happens but overall I have no complains. I haven't been seriously sick since a long time and I believe that this is because of the barefoot hiking. I also don't use any supplements and believe that the herbs that grow closer to where you live, or just in your country are much better than something from the other side of the globe, but trying doesn't hurt, it is even really delicious indeed.

At first I mixed in the chopper the coconut butter and the shredded coconut, mixed them well, then added the honey, then the shredded ginger and in the end the turmeric and the pepper.

I found a recipe for golden honey only with turmeric and honey and the proportions were 100g of honey and 1 tbsp. turmeric, so you may use it and add from the other ingredients as much as you want.

The ingredients:

  1. Add the turmeric and the pepper.

And here is the end result!

And the great thing is that it is super delicious, I could eat all of it right away.

The dosage is not clearly defined but it is recommended to take half a table spoon of it every hour if you are sick the first day, then every two hours the second day and every three hours the third day. You can also take it every day, that's what I intend to do, and if some magic happens I'll share the results :)

Stay healthy!
