Eating on the go definitely negatively affects the digestion of food.

In fact, not to overcomplicate, but digestion is a parasympathetic function. That means that it occurs when we are relaxed & calm. That's why food digests very well when we sleep.

Most people in society today, on the other hand, are primarily using their sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight.) This is very harmful for health because this agitated state should only be used for emergencies. Since many people's lives are filled with stress, worry, malnutrition, sleep deprivation, lack of meditation, etc, their bodies are telling them "this is a life or death situation" almost all the time!

Of course we can easily reverse this situation by learning to make better decisions about our health. I like the graphic that you shared at the bottom, the "Rules for healthy living." I hope you have a great day and thanks for sharing this post :)
