Somebody is trying to kill us when so many "foods and drinks" are "fortified" with calcium, and yet so many people are prescribed "calcium channel blockers". We don't need more calcium, hence the calcium channel blockers. I'm not advocating prescriptions of calcium channel blockers. There's a much easier solution. Take the calcium antagonist, Magnesium, or increase foods with magnesium in them. Magnesium is the relaxation mineral. Calcium is the contraction mineral. It's necessary for muscle contraction. But, too much of it, and not enough magnesium leads to what you can guess, tenseness. If you're feeling tenseness in your body or mind, it's likely you have too much calcium and not enough magnesium. As with everything, balance is the key.

This information is super important especially for women as we get older and require more calcium to maintain bone and teeth mass. The same balance concept can be said for Sodium/Potassium, or Arginine/Lysine, or a number of nutrients. Everything has its polarity. Understanding how to achieve and maintain homeostasis is key to good health.
It really is! I'm very strong on supporting knowledge of magnesium and Vitamin D. 80% of Americans are deficient in both.
