Eating on a Budget: Episode 8 Part 2
Boy do I love me so ribs on a cold day!
So ribs are about the easiest thing to cook, however you do need to spend a day with them.
Salt and pepper both sides
Broil Side A for 10 Minutes at 500 degrees Flip and repeat 3 times (Side A will get it twice Side B only once)
Next up while this high temperature cooking is going on you are going to need to make some bbq Sauce
2 Cups Ketchup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp of Cayenne pepper
2 TBS of Apple Cider vinnegar
1 dash or 10 of franks red hot
Mix it all together
Once the ribs are nice and broiled you may want a second pan so the ribs are not cooking in the fat that just dripped off
Slather the BBQ sauce on but not all of it
Lower heat down to 225 degrees cook for about 6 hours (this is just my recommended time you can cook longer)
Baste ribs and flip them every Hour with residual BBQ sauce
Cheers and enjoy some ribs you saw the price and it managed to feed myself twice my parents and my twin nieces. All in all i'd say that is cooking on a budget!
seriously love your idea of eating on a budget !
I think when people hear eating on a budget they think McDonalds, which in my oppinion is actually more expensive in comparison to most home cooked meals :)
