We generally use the word " stress" when we feel that everything seems to have becomes too much or when we are overloaded and wonder wether we really can cope with the pressures place upon us. Some stresses get you going and they are good for you, without any stress at all many say our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless.

The difference between "stress and a stressor" is that a stressor is an agent that causes stress.

   Examples of stressor are

noise, unpleasant people, an over speeding car etc.

      Fact about stress

Stress is one of the main factors causing insomnia and other sleep disorder.

Laughter is usually the best natural medicine. It lowers the level of stress aggravating Hormones and releases feel-good hormones such as dopamineChewing gum eases not only the jaw, but stress as well but too much of chew gum also damages those while teeth of yours.

Another surprising fact is that stress "causes hair loss".

Cocoa and chocolate which are rich in anti-oxidants have been known to reduce stress.

   NOTE

Stress makes us physiologically ready for an emergency. For that short moment, it is helpful. Ability to control this natural reaction is beneficial. Just don't let it fly off the handle.

Stress does a lot more as just hair loss. Heart attacks, stomach pains, nervous (brake down). Burn out, depression, etc etc
