You've Listened About Humanized Pregnancy?

in #health7 years ago (edited)

It is about ensuring respect for women's reproductive and sexual rights.

Obstetric violence is the violation of the human rights of women, it is generated in the care of pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum in public and private health services, and consists of any action by health personnel that causes physical or psychological damage to a woman during pregnancy, childbirth or post-partum, who is treated cruelly, inhumanly, degradingly and who takes away the ability to decide freely and informed about the processes.

In this type of violence we can find ridicule, scolding, insults, threats, ironies, manipulation of information, humiliation, denial of treatment, limitation of information regarding the decisions that the medical team is taking, abuse of medicines and even beatings.
There are studies that indicate that the medicines that induce the childbirth have relation with the autism and that a caesarean section before the labor begins increases the risk of obesity and diabetes. It is also known that birth influences the capacity to love, to feel empathy and to socialize.

Violence is avoided if we are the ones who decide!

Did you know that a relative of the woman must have free access during the birth?

Did you know that it is not indicated to shave pubic hair at the time of delivery.

Did you know that early precocious rupture of the membranes is not justified?

You knew that the perineum should be protected, and that the episiotomy when it is not necessary is qualified as mutilation.

Vaginal and humanized delivery influences the health and future of your baby.

For example, vaginal delivery stimulates the respiratory adaptation of babies. And also the stress of childbirth is very important so that the baby can deal with stress throughout his life.

Women who have given birth in our country should know that care in private centers or clinics is not accessible to all. And the treatment that is received in public hospitals and centers, let's be honest is not good ... One of my fears personally and as a first-time mother is the treatment I can receive at the time of delivery.

I have heard stories of family and friends regarding the treatment they received when having their children. For example: cries on the part of the nurses, almost no attention, since they attended them when the baby was outside.

In this country for the doctors the parturients are a simple number, labor is a process of 6 to 12 hours, for some women it may be less or more time. But here they want to force you to have the baby when they want, they do not let the natural process flow.

Before I got pregnant, I did not know what obstetric violence was.

I did not know that I could decide the position in which I want to give birth, and the way I feel most comfortable.

She believed that everything depends on us as women and mothers to know our rights and our baby.

You have to inform us much more and read, always read!

It's my first blog and I wanted to talk about an issue that has caught my attention, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and I've heard very little about this issue of humanized childbirth. For many years, we have promoted so much about the laws in favor of women, but never until now did I know exactly what my rights were. Like many people we think we know what our rights are, and yet there are so many things that we do not know and that the truth is of much use to us, we just have to investigate a little.

If you are a mother, father, uncle, aunt, grandparent or grandmother, you could give this information to someone close to you who does not know about this. It all depends on us, and how open we are to learn, every day we learn new and different things this time I want to share this here so that it reaches more people!

Enjoy it! I wait for you in my next blog ...
