This broken heart syndrome, according to Haythe, also deserves careful attention by healthy people. This syndrome is also susceptible to attack women who have entered the postmenopausal cycle. However, this syndrome can usually be treated within a few days or weeks with medical treatment.

Cancer patients are one who has a high risk of this syndrome. The researchers found that the risk of blood clots, cardiogenic shock and arrhythmias threatens to be twice as high in cancer patients with broken heart syndrome.
