UK hospital doctors are quitting in shocking numbers

Next year, nearly half of all hospital doctors currently working for the National Health Service in the United Kingdom are planning to quit.

The British Medical Association (BMA) surveyed more than 7,700 hospital consultants throughout England. About 44 percent do not plan to stay, even if that means having to retire early, take a career break, or find a job in the private sector.
