5 HEALTHY HABITS FOR NEW MOMS + FAST & DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPE

Hello! Are there any other overwhelmed mamas out there? In this video I share my tips that I try to utilize to stay in a healthy state physically and emotionally, plus share a really quick and easy dinner recipe you can try out the next time you are in a time crunch.

Creamy Rice & Veg Recipe ( side note, I got all of these ingredients at Walmart, which is pretty amazing. Movin up in the health food world!)

For the Creamy Sauce:
1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 tbl arrowroot powder
1 and 1/4 c cashews (raw is preferred, but roasted and salted will work)
4 cloves garlic
4 tbl nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp salt

1 c brown rice (dry)
1 c veg broth (I used better than bouillon vegetable base)
1/2 c peas (frozen)
3-4 brown (mushroom)
1-2 zucchini (spiralized)
chili flakes (for garnish)

  1. Cook the rice according to package directions.

  2. While the rice cooks, sauté the vegetables in broth for 1-2 min in a large pan. Add in about 1/2 the amount of cooked brown rice. Stir to combine and cook minimally for 1-2 minutes. Turn off heat.

  3. Add sauce from the blender to the pan, and turn heat on low stirring to combine. Add more rice or rest of the rice until you get to your desired consistency of rice to sauce ratio. Stir occasionally for about 3-5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. It will continue to thicken once you turn off the heat, so it’s ok if it still looks a little runny once you turn off the heat.

Garnish with chili flakes and additional nutritional yeast if desired.

hello i know how you feel when you say like you can't have anything done and i totally agree with waking up early even if was super tired and it was so hard to get out of bed once it was done it will be better and i could do lots of things. As baby grow it does get easier and slowly slowly you will get more time for yourself:)Very nice healthy habits thank you for sharing them.
