Keto and Me, a Diabetic Journey #12 - Happy Birthday Dad!
Today, I divert from the weekly tidbits about my Keto journey to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my father's 61st birthday, his last. He had suffered for about two years with the debilitating disease, ALS or Lou Gehric's. I was sad yet relieved that his pain was over and I struggled with that feeling for many years.
Although I no longer see him or hear his deep voice of reason, I carry with me the values and guidance he gave me a long time ago.
