Search: These pains will detect cancer in 10 seconds
Scientists have invented a pen that can detect cancerous tissue at the time of surgery and not only this result will be available in 10 seconds. The Masspac Pen works 150 times faster than the current technology.
The assistant professor and chief researcher at Texas University say that this pen is easy to use and gives accurate information to the surgeon.This test was done on patients of 253 cancer and in 10 seconds the correct results showed. In this test, tissues of breast, lungs, and ovarian cancer were included.
Scientists said that every kind of cancer has its own molecular structure that works like a fingerprint. When this pen is brought to the tissue and a drop of water is inserted, the molecule absorbs and the pen only takes it back. After this the pen is connected to the spectrometer.
As soon as the pen completes the analysis, the word 'normal' or 'cancer' comes automatically on the computer screen. This process takes 10 seconds.
