5 Best Ways To Control Your Anger
If you're like me, it's really hard for you to control your anger, especially when things are unfair around you. Anger can be really tough to handle and sometimes a serious rage can cause mental health problems. Keeping that in mind, I've made this blog to help you cool out the next time you want to punch your pillows.
Eat.
It's a well known fact that the kind of food you eat, influences your behaviour. Same is true for anger as well. Eating can help you to significantly drop down your anger. However, eating too spicy food can increase blood pressure which can give you the opposite results.
Listen To Music.
Listening to soft music with a consistent background can help you calm down and relax faster. Personally, when I need to chill out, I listen to indie music. A lot of it. A lot of music genres offer slow and mello tracks that you can use to calm down.
Write What You Feel.
Writing down what you feel brings out all the anger from your mind to the paper. Often times, people who write on a daily basis are more relaxed than people who don't. Even though what you write might seem really offensive to read after you cool down, it still is a really good technique to fight anger.
Take A Shower.
It might sound like a really dumb idea at first, but it works. Taking a warm shower helps you to relax your muscles as well as reduce anxiety levels and refreshes your mood.
Spend Some Time Alone.
Usually the cause of our anger is a heated argument with other people. In that case, spending some time in isolation is a really good option. Distance yourself from the person that caused you to become angry. There's really no point in continuing an argument if you're not getting anywhere.
