Immunization exercise in PHC
Hello, Steemians thank you all for the heart warming comments on my introduction post and a special thanks to my love @princekelly and to @suparssinggoole for all your efforts in helping newbies on Steemit.
As I promised earlier in my introduction post, I would write about our Thursday weekly programme in the Primary Health Care Center (PHC) I work.
IMMUNIZATION DAY
Every Thursday of every week, we conduct, Measles, Yellow Fever, Pentavalent, PCV, OPV and IPV vaccinations.
Measles and Yellow Fever Vaccine are given to 9 months old babies, and the rest are given to babies aged 6 weeks to 14 weeks, but IPV is given to 14 weeks babies only.
Mothers that completes their babies Immunization routine from birth to 9 months are given Mosquito Treated Nets.

That is really nice work you are doing in your PHC. Actually, PHC is the first interaction among patients and health professionals. Providing proper immunization is conducted by PHC centre in almost every country, especially in rural areas.
By the way, free distribution of mosquito net after 9 months of a baby who has taken all the vaccine is another wise initiative, no doubt.

Hello @arewa please concerning immunizations is it true that one can never contact the disease after being immunized
Not everything is 100% only vaccine have a higher rate close to 100% in medicine.
It lowers the risk of you contacting that diseases to a minimum, you received vaccine for because your body's immune system knows how to fight off that exact disease properly.
