Your Shower is a Gas Chamber! and what to do about it

Believe it or not, showering in tap water is worse than drinking it. In a hot shower, the chemicals in the water turn into vapor that you inhale. When chlorine comes in contact with organic matter, it vaporizes and turns into a gas and forms trihalomethanes such as chloroform. Chloroform is a strong respiratory irritant and causes fatigue, as well as host of other problems.

While in the shower, the hot water makes your pores open up and the chemicals are also easily absorbed through the skin. Plus, these toxic gases easily enter our bodies directly through the lungs because people often have poor air ventilation or no ventilation at all in their bathroom, which literally turns their bathroom into a gas chamber.

Showering in tap water also kills the beneficial bacteria present on the skin. So it’s kind of like an antibiotic in the sense that it kills both the good and bad bacteria. For these reasons, I strongly recommend everyone get at least a shower filter for their house. You should even feel a noticeable difference in your hair and skin. Have you ever noticed how dry your hair and skin feel after swimming in a pool? Shower in pure water and feel the difference!

I personally use the Shower Filter with Handheld Wand.

Great information @arevolution! I very seldom go into the gas chamber and if I do I use cold water! Pure distilled water FTW! :D
