Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated in the body to the extent that it may have a negative effect on health. In simple, it means having too much body fat. It is different from being overweight, which means weighing too much. Over weight might be because of muscle, bone, fat, and/or body water. But obesity is because of fat only.
Obesity occurs when you eat more calories than your body needs. Being obese can increase the risk of many diseases including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, and some cancers.
