BODY ODOUR COULD AFFECT YOUR SOCIAL LIFE: HOW DO YOU PREVENT IT..

in #health6 years ago

Body odour is one of the most unpleasant things that people tends to suffer from. It happens due to the smell of bacteria that grow in the body, it is individualistic and differs from person. Infact, it is often used for identification of a person by dogs.
Body odour of a person is dependent upon multiple factors like.. Gender, geneticts, health, diet, medication and many more.
Areas that are affected by body odour are: underarms, feet, anus, pubic hair and skin in general.
Unpleasant body adour can have an adverse effect on a person's social life, and this is the reason why some cosmetics stores are flooded with body sprays and deodorant. You sweat profusely after having done a strenous physical exercise /workout, which can be bad at times and may scare your neighbor that you are going to smell badly..

It makes the life really intolerable for the person living around in the surroundings.. There maybe underlaying causes of excessive sweating, such as low blood sugar, liver diseases, diabetes, parasites, metabolic dysfunction, menopause etc. Excessive sweat maybe on the forehand, palms, and soles of the feet or underarms.
Anaerobic bacteria and odour coming from other sources are the real culprits. It flourishes when the body does not have enough oxygen and it is one of the major causes of body odour. As the body's metabolism goes to work, its gives off odour which are the body's way of riding itself of waste products. Any imbalances in metabolism will result in stronger odours.
However, must consider toxins as a possible cause of body odour when talking about waste products.. In todays world, we are bombarded with toxins in our homes, food and in the air that accumulate in the body when the organs of elimination cannot dispose of them. The liver and intestines maybe clogged up, causing odour to emanate from the body, so i suggest a thorough detoxification programme by cleansing the liver, kidneys and colon.

Dietry imbalances, resulting in constipation or a deficiency of magnesium or zinc may be other cause of body odour. Because of the body chemistry some people who eat large quantities of meat or who are vegetarians have a very distinctive body odour which can be quite offensive. Some individuals cannot metabolize foods containing large amounts of choline, such as eggs, fish, liver and legumes.
Certain foods and drinks such as onions, garlics, curry, certain spicy foods, coffee and alcohol are also prime causes. Fried and baked goods may contain rancid fats and oil that leads to body odour.
Sweat glands (apocrine glands) under the arms and in the groin secrete a substance that is the major non-food/drinks related cause of body odour. This substance, which contains protein, carbohydrates, and lipids, often secreted by a surge in sex hormones caused by tense moments or emotional stress, is quickly attacked by bacteria, causing odour. And for children who are starting puberty much earlier, there may be changes in hormones which may lead to body odour.
STEPS TO ADJUSTMENT /CARE FOR BODY ODOUR
*there are certain lifesyle changes to make if you have a constant problem with body odour, occasional problems can be treated if you know the cause. I suggest a programme of daily bathing, changes in diet and changes in clothing.
*bath twice daily to remove bacteria from your skin, especially the armpits and groin area where the bacteria are most prevalent. If you have a serious odour problem, soak for 15 minutes or longer in a bath tub of water with 3 cups of tomato juice added. It works.

*clothing is an area many people overlook. Loosely fitting clothes allows the body to breath better than tight clothes.
*Dietry changes are also very important in eliminating various sources of odour. Certain foods such as meat, onions, garlic, exotic spices and drinks such as coffee and alcohol can lead to body odour.
*Excessive sweating may have underlaying causes, so it is wise to be diagnosed to see if you have medical problem. Women going to menopause may have bouts of sweating accompanied by terrible body odour.
*tobacco use is major cause of body odour. Not only does it come back through your lungs, but it comes through the skin.
*caffeine and medication may also be the cause of your sweating. Reduce your caffeine intake and note if there are changes when you stop taking medication.
