 Hello steemians !!!

 Welcome to the Health series. Here i will be explaining  the science behind getting tired after snoozing. My friends   after restless days and late bed time you might have hit the snooze button. Beware resisting the urge will make things worse.  

                          

                       UNDERSTANDING THE SCIENCE BEHIND THIS !!!

 Dr Carskadon, a professor of psychiatry and human behavior at Brown University, explains that this will cause DROCKLING  phenomena . Drockling means drifting in and out of sleep that occurs in the morning. The science behind this is that before really waking up from bed our body prepares itself to maintain normal physiology. Initially Temperature of the body increases slightly before 2 to 3 hr of waking. If your alarm clock wakes you up before this physiological phenomena is done things can go worse. Your body maintains cycle of NREM and REM sleep after the interval of 90 min. Stage 3 and 4 are known as deep sleep stage. During this stage it is difficult to wake up. During morning your body is in stage 1 or 2 which is known as arousal sleep stage. When you snooze you are letting your body to enter in the deeper stage of sleep cycle. You might feel like you are taking rest but actually you are harming your body .


                                   SO WHAT DO YOU DO THEN ??  

   Make habbit of sleeping and waking at fixed time. Hypothalamus is known as biological clock . It alaways wakes person at right time (assuming you have maintaind good internal environment). Sometimes you may sleep late and find difficult in waking early in the morning .In this case, Set alarm in such a way that you get adequate amount of sleep.  

                                                                      REMEMBER-

Early to bed early to rise makes man healthy wealthy and wise.  Take proper sleep everyday. 7-8 hr of sleep is essential for proper functioning of the body.
