The tongue is closely related to the digestive system, so even the slightest disturbance, changes and accumulation of toxic substances in the visible and the mouth organ. Plaque on the tongue shows some problems. If the body occurs cotton surplus, coated tongue can become brown, if Pitou surplus - yellowish, and Kapha - white. Not always all the tongue is covered with crusty. The most common plaque is deposited only in one or more parts of the tongue. Since then, the tongue in which they accumulate, you can tell what a person is plagued by problems. A careful inspection of the tongue can help early warning of health problems and to understand which dosha balance disrupted.

Different areas of the tongue are associated with different parts of the body, internal organs and channels:

yea you should ;)

Sometimes your tongue can have a slightly thicker white covering even if you're completely healthy. So don't panic! It depends on the texture of the tongue. If the surface is naturally rough then more plaque will stick to it.

Bacteria then live and breed in the plaque. In small amounts these are harmless. But it is best to scrape them off before they get out of control and start causing problems, like throat infections.

Tongue scraping should be routine before teeth cleaning every evening. You can buy tongue scrapers at the drug store, but an ordinary spoon usually works better.
