Living heathy is not only classified by a diet plan, exercising and good lifestyle. What your diet comprises of, rather the foods you consume are very crucial. There are some foods that are very nutritious and should be consumed on a daily basis. Most of them you may have incorporated them in your diet. While, others you weren’t aware of how often you should be eating them. Everyone is always striving to eat right but often miss the point that right does not mean healthy. To be honest, it is really hard to differentiate between which foods are healthier for you and which you should avoid. Anyways, here are 10 foods you MUST not avoid:

1. Oily fish (sardines, salmon, mackerel, trout)

Oily fish are nutritional because they are a rich source of fatty acids (omega-3), vitamins, proteins and minerals. The most prevalent and important ingredient in oily fish is the omega-3 fatty acid. It is healthy for your body as it helps reduce risks of cardiovascular diseases, boosts brain health and improve eye health as well. The crucial vitamins in the various types of oily fish is vitamin A and D which are known to boost the body’s immune system.

2. Beans (black beans, kidney beans)

Beans are a good source of proteins and fiber. It is important that you eat beans, not on a daily basis but often because they lower cholesterol levels. The fiber from beans are able to soak up cholesterol in the body, thus, your body is able to excrete the bad cholesterol in particular before doing any damage. Beans are also a rich source of antioxidants which are important in promoting skin, heart and overall health.

3. Nuts (walnuts, almonds, Brazil nut, cashew nuts)

There is wide variety of nuts. They are an important must have food because they are packed with proteins and antioxidants. Nuts are also rich in fatty acids, vitamins as well as minerals. Will all these nutritional compounds you cannot go wrong with nuts. However, you should eat them in moderation as they also contain calories. Good thing though, they are carbohydrates from monosaturated fats which are not unhealthy compared to complex carbs.

Every ingredient found in dark leafy ingredients plays an important role in the body and help in boosting your overall health and well-being. 10. Carrots

They are highly nutritional and have immense benefits especially on your health and immune system.
