Virginity: Don't put that innocent woman away

One of my friend's sister is on the point of loosing her one day old marriage because there was no blood stain after their very first night together as husband and wife, this showed that the hymen was already broken before she and her husband had sexual intercourse. The husband was very angry because there relationship was no sex relationship until marriage. The wife on the other hand was confused because as far as she knows, she has never had sex i.e penis penetration before not until the first night with her husband.
As a concerned friend, I tried to see if there are other means which the hymen can be broken apart from sexual intercourse and I found some activities that can cause that.
P.S Hymen is a thin membrane covering the opening of the vagina.
